Here is your free recipe for a Superfood Smoothie
A Superfood Smoothie (all of these ingredients are
available or can be ordered from a good wholefood/healthfood store or
online) A blender or liquidiser
is required. Ingredients 200g or roughly 1/3 of a 500g tub of live low fat plain organic yoghurt 1/3 pint organic skimmed milk 1 banana or soft fruit of your choice (vary the fruit each day, such as a berry shake, pineapple and mango, peach and so on). If you have a juicer you can juice up harder fruits and vegetables like apples or carrots or raw beets. Apple smoothies are delicious and because I have a juicer I have a vegetable smoothie now and then too. The key here is to experiment with your fruit or vegetable ingredients, and find those that you like. With both a juicer or blender you will need to remove larger pips or stones first. 1 teaspoon organic cinnamon (or amount to taste) 1 dessertspoon organic runny honey (the darker coloured the better) (vary amount to taste) 1 level teaspoon Klamath blue-green algae (store in fridge & away from light) 1 dessertspoon organic virgin cold pressed flax seed oil (store in fridge & away from light). Optional - 1 dessertspoon organic cold pressed virgin coconut oil (store in fridge). Coconut contains all 9 omega oils Put all of your ingredients into your blender. Whizz on your lowest setting for about 10 seconds or until the fruit has pulped and mixed with your other ingredients, then whiz on the highest setting for a further 5 second. Pour into your glass and drink immediately. When making a savoury smoothie, substitute yoghurt with organic cottage cheese and replace honey with a pinch of organic herb salts. You may like to include herbs or other spices instead of cinnamon when making savoury smoothies. After a few experiments you will find your preferred recipes that you will really like and enjoy. Health begins at Home. Eat wisely – Eat well.
